The Fact:
A common fault with the 2002-2003 R1 is the exup valve corroding and seizing in place and snapping the cables resulting in power loss. Then requiring a rebuild with new parts and cables. If you want to fix this easily or just simply stop it ever happening to you this is the part you need.
The streamlined design reduces weight and improves flow through the exhaust, offering a deeper exhaust note. Stock muffler, or any aftermarket slip-on, will fit this pre-muffler replacement. Factory bushes and frame mounting points ensure compatibility in robust, long lasting design. The hand welded, brushed finished system is a simple upgrade for anyone wanting to bring their R1 to life!
Once combined with the Slip-On Line exhaust, this optional header offers a significant improvement in performance across the entire rev range. Made from perfectly formed 304 Stainless Steel the addition of this header increases throttle response and power control, and improves the sound to make the most of the R1’s engine character on any ride.
